Big Green Egg’s Bourbon and Bacon Class


The Big Green Egg has proven itself to be worthy of its tagline–The Ultimate Cooking Experience. I had a chance to find this out firsthand after I attended the Bourbon and Bacon class at the Big Green Egg Culinary Center, thanks to my friends over at CulinaryLocal.

The Big Green Egg Culinary Center is the best place to EGGperience all of the amazing things that can be done with the grill. Their team of EGGperts provide demonstration classes, or you can enjoy a more hands on approach. The Bourbon and Bacon class was a demo, lead by Chef Phillip Spencer.

I already knew I was in for a treat since bacon and bourbon are two of my faves. But I was so excited when I took a peek at the menu for the evening. But first, we were greeted with appetizers along with beer and wine.


Now on to the good stuff!

Mexican street corn rolled in bacon and pork rinds
Grilled stuffed chicken with maple bourbon glaze; sweet potato fries with bacon and sriracha mayo
Bacon wrapped oysters; bourbon marinated beef tenderloin over grilled Swiss chard
The “Gloria” dessert burrito – manchego cheese, Mexican Gloria dulce de leche candy dipped in bourbon
