New Menu Tasting at Vino Venue

Vino Venue a.k.a. my new favorite place in Atlanta has just rolled out an extensive menu of delectable delights, and I was invited (along with some lovely Atlanta-area bloggers) to sample a few of their signature items. Lucky me, right?

We were served glasses of étoile Brut, along with Fried Pork Rinds (don’t worry, they were fancy and seasoned with cajun spice), Smoked Salmon Rillettes, and Fried Green Beans. Because we were sharing all of the dishes family-style, I had to do my best not to be greedy and devour all of the green beans. They were a delicious start to a great evening.

Up next was Faux Poutine–steak fries, pulled beef short rib, demi-glace, and Irish cheddar. It was the real deal. We also sipped Gloria Ferrer Chardonnay Carneros.

We were then given Duck Confit Flatbread and Wild Mushroom Flatbread. The Duck Confit Flatbread was one of my favorites of the night. The blueberry mostarda was a pleasant surprise. I’m drooling just writing about it.

A Summer Salad was shared amongst the group, as well as an Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad and Roasted Piquillo Peppers. We also tasted Vidal-Fleury Tavel Rosé. Guys, at this point we haven’t even made it to the entrées!

Picture this: We dined on The Vino Venue Burger, Grilled Ribeye, Knife & Fork Fried Egg Sandwich, Trout with Succotash, and Ratatouille. Told ya I was lucky. Every bite was incredible.

The ribeye, which was served with horseradish mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, and maitre d’ butter was my fave.

And of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that we noshed on desserts at the end of the evening! We sampled Lavender Creme Brulee, Dark Chocolate Pot de Creme, Key Lime Pie, and Tres Leches Cake. It was as heavenly as it sounds.

Although we ate a ton of food, there are several items on the menu that I haven’t tried yet. So between checking out those items along with the ones I’ve fallen in love with already, I’m going to be a regular at Vino Venue. Hope to see you there! We can socialize and enjoy a bottle of wine together.

Many thanks to Chef Patric Good, Sous Chef William Hunt, Manager/Partner Rob Van Leer, Line Cooks Demetrius Harper & Julius Manning, and my new blogger friend Melissa for showing us an amazing time!
