16th Grant Park Summer Shade Festival – The VIP Experience

Grant Park Summer Shade

The 16th annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival presented by The Beacon Atlanta welcomed music and art lovers to Atlanta’s oldest park for its 16th year on Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26, 2018. Benefiting the Grant Park Conservancy, the two-day, fun-filled festival featured an impressive lineup of live music throughout the weekend on two stages in addition to an expansive artist market, Kids Zone, and a dedicated VIP area.

Yours truly had a chance to check out the VIP area, and I had such an amazing time!

The exclusive VIP Lounge brought the ultimate shade (the good kind, kids) , courtesy of a private tent.

There were private air-conditioned restrooms, misting stations, and lounge seating ’cause those things are super helpful when you’re hanging outside at a park in Georgia during the sweltering summertime.

VIP guests also enjoyed complimentary food from vendors like my friends at  Love Eat Local! I hadn’t seen Chef Lindsay since I visited her beautiful home for a private menu sampling, so this was a pleasant surprise and reunion for me. You can check out that experience here!

I also sipped on premium wines, Monday Night Brewing  craft beer, and the Signature Summer Shade Cocktail. There were so many refreshing choices for that hot August weekend!

All proceeds from the VIP Lounge and the Summer Shade Festival went directly to the Grant Park Conservancy, which is a non-profit organization committed to the restoration, beautification and maintenance of Grant Park. Y’all know I love a good time for a good cause!

Hope you’ll join me for next year’s Grant Park Summer Shade Festival. Be sure to meet me at the VIP lounge!
